This is a single runway airport located on the east coast of North Island, New Zealand. Due to the airports location and proximity to the coast it is restricted in space and thus there are plans to relocate the airport to support future growth to accommodate growing demand for air travel in the area. The airport currently has a small air conditioned passenger terminal with two gates and scheduled air services provide links to Auckland on South Island from the airport. The airport is connected to the local area via a shuttle bus, and taxi services and car rental services are available at the airport. The main apron provides space for the parking of two aircraft. These marked stands are reserved for scheduled services, however arrangements can be made for private aircraft by contacting the airport or alternatively smaller aircraft can park on the western edge of the airport.
