Day 1 - Discovering Venice’s beguiling beauty

You’ll fly by private jet from London to Venice, one of Italy’s most luxurious destinations. Dripping in romance and old-world decadence, this enchanting Renaissance city is an architectural masterpiece of over 100 tiny islands linked by winding canals and arching bridges. On arrival, disembark your aircraft and transfer by private water-taxi to the lavish Aman Venice. Superbly located on the Grand Canal in a beautifully-restored 16th-century palazzo, this opulent heritage hotel’s elaborate frescoes, plush furniture and dramatic high ceilings attract illustrious guests from across the globe.

You’ll stay at the Aman for three nights in either the Alcova Tiepolo Suite, or the Canal Grande Suite, which overlooks the beautiful canal below. Spend the rest of the day exploring Venice at leisure – admiring the intricate domes of St Mark’s Cathedral, taking a gondola ride through the meandering waterways and strolling down cobblestoned alleyways lined with luxury boutiques and charming cafés. Later, enjoy a private dinner for two in the hotel’s grand library, savouring a decadent four-course menu which the sommelier will expertly pair with fine wines.

Day 2 - Learning the secrets of Venetian cuisine

This morning, the Aman’s chef will introduce you to the art of Venetian cuisine during a special local experience. You’ll be taken to one of Europe’s most ancient marketplaces, Rialto Market, a lively hubbub of colourful stalls selling freshly-caught Adriatic fish and locally-grown fruit and vegetables. The chef will teach you how to select the very best seasonal produce, before transforming your bounty into a traditional Venetian lunch back at the hotel.

Unwind this afternoon with a relaxing couple’s massage at the Aman Spa, a tranquil retreat tucked into a secret mezzanine level of the hotel. Using a soothing blend of fragrant essential oils, this therapeutic treatment is the perfect antidote to the buzz of the city. In the late afternoon, you’ll embark on a magical boat trip through the city’s canals, heading out into the lagoon to watch a mesmerising sunset over the islands. Sip a glass of Prosecco and feast on local snacks as the dwindling light bathes Venice in a kaleidoscope of colours.

Day 3 – After-hours access to the Doge’s Palace

Today, the hotel’s concierge will create a tailor-made excursion through the northern part of the lagoon, stopping at some of Venice’s most magical islands for a true taste of the city’s unique charm. Highlights may include Murano, famous for its glass-making; Burano, home to the city’s coveted hand-embroidered lace; and Torcello, where you can admire precious mosaics at the beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Stop at one of the islands’ charming local trattorias for a delicious alfresco lunch.

After freshening up back at the hotel, tonight you’ll enjoy a private after-hours tour of the iconic Doge’s Palace, exploring this magnificent Gothic landmark in privileged seclusion away from the usual tourist crowds. Featuring grand staircases, gilded ceilings and frescoed walls, this ornate palazzo is richly decorated with glorious paintings and dramatic statues.

Day 4 - Uncovering Montenegro’s unspoilt natural beauty

Check-out of the Aman Venice and fly by private jet to Tivat Airport in Montenegro. Prized for its forest-cloaked mountains, ancient villages and pristine lakes, this breathtaking location is fringed by a sandy coastline of hidden coves and turquoise waters. Take a private transfer to the Aman Sveti Stefan, a spectacular coastal retreat which is spread between a converted 15th-century fishing village on the fortified islet of Sveti Stefan and Villa Miločer, a graceful royal villa on the mainland across the bay.

You’ll stay for four nights on the islet, which is dotted with 50 rustic rooms, cottages and suites, staying in either the Adriatic Suite or the Sveti Stefan Suite – both featuring spacious private terraces with stunning views of the Adriatic Sea, while the latter also boasts a private pool. Spend the rest of today exploring the islet – wandering along narrow cobbled lanes framed by olive trees, lazing in one of the swimming pools and relaxing on the pink sands of secluded Queen’s Beach, which is hemmed by one of the Adriatic’s most beautiful lagoons. Then dine alfresco on the main piazza at one of the hotel’s exceptional restaurants.

Day 5 - Yacht cruise around breathtaking Boka Bay

This morning you’ll embark on a full-day private yacht cruise around Boka Bay, a spectacular stretch of Montenegrin coast which is home to several heritage towns and seaside villages steeped in history. During this fascinating tour, you’ll explore the medieval old town of Kotor’s Romanesque churches, winding streets and pretty squares; before heading to the idyllic UNESCO-protected town of Perast, where stone palaces and romantic ruins give way to the famous island of Our Lady of the Rocks with its stunning stone Catholic church and museum.

Admire the superyachts lining the luxurious Porto Montenegro marina, a magnet for glamorous jetsetters with its chic nightspots and designer boutiques. This coastal adventure also includes lunch at one of the bay’s best restaurants, perhaps savouring traditional Njeguši specialities at the family-run Catovica Mlini or freshly-caught seafood at Stari Mlini.

Day 6 - Exploring the glassy waters of Lake Skadar

This morning, embark on a short trip to peaceful Lake Skadar, a vast freshwater lake surrounded by dramatic karst mountains. Here we can arrange a two-hour cruise through the mirrored waters dotted with waterlilies, during which you’ll spot a variety of birdlife while admiring views of the fortresses, monasteries and churches that line the banks of the lake. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch on board the boat, before heading back ashore to visit a local family-run winery and sample delicious wines made from the indigenous vranac grape.

Spend the rest of the afternoon unwinding back at the hotel, perhaps indulging in a blissful treatment at either the mainland standalone spa or one of the islet’s tranquil spa cottages. Personalised holistic rituals include the Adriatic Rejuvenation, beginning with an oat milk rehydration soak followed by an aromatic massage using mint-infused olive oil, wild honey and raw sugar.

Day 7 - Try a plethora of adventure activities

Spend the last day of your trip immersing yourself in Montenegro’s natural wonders with a plethora of outdoor pursuits. We can arrange an array of thrilling watersports near the resort, including water-skiing, jet-skiing, parasailing and paddle-boarding. Or head below the water’s surface on a scuba dive, discovering pristine corals and underwater caves and wrecks.

If you’d like to explore further afield, we offer helicopter trips to the north of the island where outdoor pursuits include fly-fishing or river-rafting in the world’s second-deepest canyon. Back at the Aman, enjoy a farewell dinner at one of the intimate restaurants, such as Villa Miločer’s wisteria-draped loggia or the enoteca on Sveti Stefan Island. In the morning you’ll take a private transfer to the airport for your private jet flight back to the UK.
